Welcome to JSP, I'm so glad that you are here! My name is Jillian, and I am so passionate about photography! 2026 is my sixth year professional photography, and I could not be more thrilled about it. Funny to say I became an expert editor before photographing... I had an obsession with the Lightroom preset era of 2016 (s/o Josie Bullard).

How I started JSP:

During my junior year of high school, I was looking for a senior photographer in The Woodlands, and I simply could not decide. So much so that I almost booked a photographer in South Carolina- I was that desperate. I wanted something unique where nothing looked posed, a crisp and colorful editing style, and most importantly, photos that actually looked like the subject. Then I thought, why couldn't I do it myself? 

 

During the 2020 lockdown, I began experimenting with my DSLR and thought I would take matters into my own hands. I began to practice by taking photos of my friends and watching hours of YouTube. Safe to say it was trial and error. Slowly, this practice evolved into paid clients. We've come a long way.

About Me:​

I was born in the Woodlands, and I grew up as an expat in far-east Russia. Through that experience, I was so fortunate to be able to visit many countries around the world. I still love to travel, like so much. I spent all of June in Italy and France. And with all the travel, I began to document every little thing through a Canon Powershot. Later that turned into DSLRs... 

 

In May 2025, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, and  I am currently a Master of Financial Management student, graduating in December 2026! Professionally, I am pursuing a career in Commodity Trading through the Trading, Risk, and Investments Program at Mays Business School. At the moment, I'm living in College Station!

A little more fun... other than school, I am an alumni member of Tri Delta's Gamma Alpha Chapter, where I served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Director of Social Events, and Merchandise Chair. I loved serving as a leader of Tri Delta where I got to channel my creative side. My responsibilities included creating and leading a content creation team, videography and photography, rush content, planning merchandise, and organizing date parties for the chapter! Being a part of Gamma Alpha was the highlight of my college experience!

I love all things fitness, eating and cooking healthy meals, pilates, weight training and going on walks with my friends. I also enjoy planning trips for my family and our friends. My favorite place to travel is the South of France. This year, my family and I traveled to Provence, Saint Tropez, and Cannes and it was the best experience.

Currently, I have an obsession with content creating on TikTok. I'll keep y'all updated. @jillsyptak if you wanna check it out lol.

I love to stay busy, but I always make time to come to the Woodlands, Houston, or College Station to do what I love- shoot photos! So, let's have some fun and create a session that captures who you are!
